"Liquify Tool", like Photoshop's, much needed
ImplementedI'm a Capture One Pro 20 user, but I also use Photoshop, but I only really use the latter for its 'Liquify' tool for straightening people's jawlines, ears, adjusting eyebrows and the like. I know lots of photographer's who use the Liquify tool in Photoshop for things like this in portraiture and other types of photography.
I've downloaded, and tried, Pixelmator pro, which has a similar tool, but it does not work as it simply smudges and blurs what you try to move whereas Photoshop keeps everything sharp.
Please Capture One, try the Liquify Tool in Photoshop, and the terrible 'Smudge' took in Pixelmator Pro so you know how NOT to do it and implement a Liquify Tool into Capture One that works correctly, like the Photoshop one does.

I suspect that this is the kind of thing that is unlikely to be introduced in Capture One. It is not trying to be a pixel editor as a replacement for Photoshop - in the Adobe range of apps, it is more an alternative to Lightroom. If you want an alternative to Photoshop for that kind of feature, have you tried Affinity Photo?

Hi Ian
Totally understood, but I just figured as Capture One was a photo editing tool and this Liquify is an important part of it there could be room for such a thing, but I get where you are coming from.
I have Affinity Photo, but compared to Capture One Pro 20 it seems to blur images. I'm not sure if it's because Capture One applies more sharpening to the RAW file when bringing it in, but if I bring a RAW file into Affinity and just export it without doing anything, compared to same file from Capture One, the Affinity one appears to have Gaussian Blur added, terrible. I've spoken to the people at Affinity and sent them samples but they just said they don't know if it will be fixed in future.

I noticed On1 just added liquify, I’d just decided to standardise my tools, dropped On1 (I dropped adobe when they went subscription) so have thrown myself into Capture One. I do now feel some jealousy regarding the liquify tools found elsewhere…

Would be really nice to see the Liquify feature in CaptureOne.
The ability to push/pull elements of the image, help improve some areas your subjects find unflattering, etc is part of the retouching workflow these days and so would be awesome to have this tool in the tool chest.
That one feature is the only reason why I continue my Adobe subscription for Photoshop otherwise I would be entirely on CaptureOne and workflow would be easier. Well maybe also something that helps facilitate frequency separation.
