Need to move the catalog from Microsoft cloud to attached portable SSD
Is there a prescribed way to move that file without having to create a new catalog which seems to want to create another copy of the software. Running build 14.0.2.36.

So the catalog file itself is in the cloud? You could (with Capture One closed) just move it to the SSD, then double click it to open it. Where are the images, though - inside the catalog, or in some other location (referenced)?
When you say that it creates another copy of the software, what do you mean? Do you only mean that another separate Capture One window opens? it is possible to have more than one catalog or session open at once - this is controlled in Preferences: in the General tab of Preferences look for the checkbox that says catalogs and sessions open in new window. If that is checked, you can have more than one open at once. If it is not checked, then when you open a second catalog or session, the previous one closes.
