Still getting the error message on trying to log in
I still get this error message sometimes on trying to log in to the forum. This has been reported several times before but nothing ever seems to be done about it and Capture One make no comment. What is the point of an Issues with the new forum section if those that are reported aren't fixed? (The solution is to clear website data from the browser. Again.

Hi Ian,
You have to log into your account at captureone.com first.
Then go to https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us and click Sign In there.

OK - next time it happens, I'll try that, but why does it happen (only sometimes)?

Ian,
I have to agree that this is incredibly annoying and should be totally avoidable. Seems to me is just needs a cookie fixed but apparently not ...
If one has to log into the main account first to be able to post in the forum then why the need for 2 logins activities.
A login to the main site seems to survive for about 24hours. So if somehow you have lost a forum login but not the main login and the main login in less than 24hours old (or some such period relate reason) then the forum login will work without error. (although I notice I am back to sometimes needed to repeat the login without actually having to enter anything before it takes effect.)
If an attempted forum login fails (and you have the login details saved in the browser in question) you can use another browser tab to log in to the main site and then return to the tab with the error message and refresh it to complete the login in. It may save some typing depending on what your browser allows and how you avail yourself of that offering.
Originally I was advised that the MS Edge browser would work independently but although suing my first days with Win 10 that seemed like it my be the case if soon became apparent that it has exactly the same problem. So I suppose Chrome does as well.

It happens all the time and it is quite unbelievable. There are billions of discussion forums all around the words and thousands of perfectly working templates. What kind of BS is capture one using here instead of applying some standard template ???
