Do you mean that you want a JPEG showing what the image was like out of camera before processing?

If you want to do that using the Export command, then actually you need to go for Export>Variants, not Export>Originals. Export originals is a way of getting your raw file out to use somewhere else. For example I might want to add an image from my catalog to a session. "Originals" means "raw".

Export>Variants produces some other kind of file format from your Image, for instance JPEG, TIFF, PNG, etc. If you want that to be the unadjusted image, then either

    • export it as a JPEG before making any adjustments to it, or
    • if you have already made adjustments, then create a new variant (Image>New Variant, or F2 on a Mac, some other shortcut on PC) and use that to export.

Ah ok that makes sense thank you! I’m coming from Lightroom and they have the option to change format to JPEG while also having the original image with no adjustments when exporting.
