Floating Tool window size

Hello fellow users, maybe you can help me with something...

When using floating tools e.g. the Focus tool I used to have it as big as possible in height and width. My Clients sometimes want to have a really big 100% view...
This was possible until v12. But in v20 or v21 window width is limited to the normal tool size. This is sometimes uncomfortable.
Is there any chance to change that back? Right now I’m using a workaround with a second viewer window zoomed to 100% I front of the actual session window. 
This only works for focus but not for any other floating tool, e.g. curves. To make very accurate settings here the tool should also be made bigger in overall size.
