what does the red text mean?

That's not something I have seen but I would imagine it is indicating that the value is outside expected values.
What value is displayed?
From where has the value been obtained?

I have seen it previously.
As SFA mentions, it is a value outside of the expected range.
In my case, there were extra numbers/characters to left - that are invisible in the "normal" window.Just click on the red text, do "select all", "copy" and paste it somewhere to see what the characters string was. You might be surprised.
