Auto Adjust Tool Overexposing and HDR ineffective in C1 21

With C1 21 the Auto Adjustment tool correction over exposes and the HDR adjustments are not adjusting clipped highlights as prior versions of the software did.  I don't see any preferences or the ability for adjusting the variables that affect the auto adjustments settings.  Basically, the Auto Adjustment tool in C1 21 seems to be way off from prior versions and unusable.  Anyone else experiencing this?

  Just found this while searching for the same issue: when I use auto adjustment, my images massively loose highlight detail.

  Every single image needs to have massive (-50 or so) negative highlight correction and (less frequently) negative white correction to bring the washed out detail back. I also find that shadow correction is way too dark and I usually tweak it back up to 0 or +10. Again, for every single image, regardless of lighting or subject.
