Masking Workflow Update Request - Dynamic Masks
ImplementedWith the addition of the dynamic linear and gradient mask tools had the potential to open up a number of powerful possibilities for advanced selective image processing however it is held back by the historical implementation of masks in captureone as a layer can only have one mask at a time either standard mask, gradient or rasterized
However unlike the implementation of the parametric tool luma range which applies subtractively to an existing layer mask and therefore the underlying mask can be fine tuned for the desired selection without loosing the ability iteratively fine tune both the luma range and mask independently
If the gradient tools operated similarly to the luma range tool ontop of an existing layer mask it would make for a more efficient and dynamically tuneable workflow without the need to rasterize mask and hence loosing the ability to dynamically fine tune either of the masks
In addition as requested elsewhere additional mask manipulation tools (i.e. add, subtract) between masks to make advanced selections would also be a complementary and powerful feature
