Renaming a PC

Hi there,

if I rename my PC (old "WEINZETTL-WS", new "WEINZETTL-WS10") Capture One cannot open any of my catalogs:

  Check the catalog folder and if there is a writelock file there delete it.

  Hi Don,

  thank you for your answer! This was the first thing a tried. ;) But not one of the catalogs was or is writelocked. Not one of the catalogs was open while renaming the PC.

  When renaming the PC again (to old name) Capture One can open all the catalogs again. But this cannot be the end solution. I need the PC beeing renamed because of identification at another point.

  If you find this problem on your PC: Rename to a shorter name: If I use "WS10" instead of "WEINZETTL-WS10" it works even with Capture One Pro.

  Windows allows PC names upt to 15 characters, Capture One not in every case it seems.
