Hi Kyle - I'm wondering if you resolved this problem.  I'm crashing C1 when opening Live View when my Z7ii is tethered too.

    Thanks!

    Vic

I'm still having a similar problem. Any updates?

It’s been awhile… but I believe my issue was being caused by the Z7ii rear screen viewing mode being turned to “off”. The button to cycle through the viewing modes is on the left side of the viewfinder.

Hi Kyle - I'm familiar with the display button on the viewfinder.  But by "off" do you mean "screen only" or a different mode?  Moreover, which mode have you been able to use Live View successfully with?  Thanks, Vic

Live View works for me when I have the rear screen set to on unless looking through the viewfinder.  That's how I usually have it set.

When I had my original issue it was because the rear screen was set to be off.  The camera successfully connected to C1 - I could change exposure settings and such - but the software wouldn't show me the actual live view picture until the rear screen setting on the Z7ii was back to being on. So, my guess is either C1 software won't show the live view when the rear screen is set to off... or the Z7ii won't send the visual data at all if the rear screen is off.

At no time did I have issues with the software crashing.

Kyle - Thank you so very much!  Yes.  When using the rear screen I'm also able to use Live View, and not without using it.  Problem solved!  Best, Vic
