Nikon D750 tethering with HDMI problem.

Hello, a friend of mine told me I can tether with and HDMI cable (also asked the tech expert of the store). I bought an HDMI to HDMI mini to connect my camera ( Nikon D750 ) with my computer ( MacBook Air M1 ) and a HDMI to type C adaptor since the M1 MacBooks don't have an HDMI port, and even thought my Mac is reading the cable I can't connect my camera to C1. is there a tethering problem with using HDMI ? should I buy a new cable ? ( and is so what type ) Im stuck at this point and I've tried almost everything.

  I think your friend may be wrong, at least so far as using Capture One's Tethering function is concerned.

  Whether your connection chain would work for direct playback of video from the camera I have no idea. I'm not a Mac person.

  Nikon D750 has still that problem everwhere.

  Sorry, but I'm also not a Mac Person as far as connectivity concern for me Nikon D750 is connecting smoothly with my PC.
