WHY DO YOU STILL PROVIDE NO WAY OF REPORTING SPAM?

    That post and several others.

Maybe, if there was a way to report spam, it might be abused to try to shut down some discussions with the end result being the creation of a full time Forum "manager" job.

Simply ignoring the posts for a few days until they disappear might, surprisingly, be a better option?

    Just guessing here.

Yep, the Archive 11/12 forum is full of the bloody stuff - and it isn't going to disappear unless somebody disappears it:

I wonder if pinging spam posts at the Submit a Request link will get their attention?

Would that not be a good thing, Grant?

    Keith,

    I don't know.

It would seem to conflict with the concept of a low overhead/high self help content sort of system of the type that Zendesk (as a service) claims to be.

Also, given the number of people that seem to be active on highly visible "social media" and ignoring less public (i.e. you have to log in to comment) forums, there might be a temptation to drop the forum. Personally, I have no desire to be any more active than I am on social media  - that being very inactive.

That said I'm sure there must be some way in Zendesk to readily monitor, automatically, both spam-type posts and the "dormant" accounts that would have to be created (one assumes) to make the posts possible.
