Can't import and export files to Google Drive

    I'm having a similar issue with Google Drive as well.

    I can't seem to import photos to my Google Drive from Capture one. I used to be able to do this with Capture One and Big Sur, but since I've updated Google Drive to the new Google Drive Desktop program, it seems Capture One can no longer do it.

    I also can import to Desktop without issues, so I can only assume its something to do with Google Drive.

    This also happens with a new Session and also with importing right into the Catalog as well. Definitely worked before the update of Google Drive.

    At least now I know that this issue is related with Google Drive's update (and probably with switching from FUSE to SMB).

    I saw issues with SMB here on Capture One support forums dated 3-4 years ago but didn't find how to resolve my problem yet.

    I found a work around for this which is basically to move my files off google drive and then mirror the folder. The local file system works.

    Other option was to use image capture and drop the files in manually, then use capture one to import. It can add to the catalog really easily if the photos are already in Google Drive.

    Import function in Capture One is not just about copying all the stuff from SD card. It's the first place where we actually filter out some garbage and are not copying it at all. So there are certain disadvantages in using this workaround but thanks for sharing.

    Exporting to a temporary folder on the local drive and then moving files to the Google Drive also seems to work but the fact remains that it's a sort of bug - not really sure on Google side or on Capture One side.

    I have this issue as well with Mac Monterey. I am not able to export images from C1 to Google drive. Did someone fix this?

    @... I found the solution. Allow (or force) Google Drive to update its storage management engine to comply with how Monterey handles file streaming. GD will move your drive from its current local location to a macOS-specified location. After that is complete, you should be able to export images directly to GD without issue.

    Before that update, CaptureOne support gave me a workaround, which was to change GD's syncing mode from "Stream files" to "Mirror files." (Find this setting in GD Preferences.) This worked, but it also meant everything in my GD had to be downloaded to my local machine, which took up a lot of space. After the aforementioned update, you shouldn't need to mirror files to export images to GD.
