Quick pan in any tool
LoggedI'm just starting out with Capture One so maybe this already exists but anyway, here's a suggestion.
When using other tools, zoom and pan are often used. It would be nice to have a special key (e.g. "D") that you can keep pressed to temporarly switch and stay in the Pan tool, and when released goes back to the original tool you were using. I know you can learn shortcuts for all the tools and still quickly switch but this would require less mental work.

On a Mac you can do that using the space bar (same as in several other photo editing apps) though at the moment, it has an annoying bug that means that it may make a noise while it's pressed. (It still works though.) I am not sure, but I think that it may be different on a PC.

Space bar on PC as well. (Assuming one is zoomed in and therefore some of the image is not visible.)
Hold down the Space bar and the "Hand" tool is displayed, together with a box showing the area of theimage currently visible.
Left click and hold to make the "Hand" "grip". Move the box around the full image. Release the hand by releaseing the left mouse button. Return to the editing on the newly selected area by releasing the space bar.

It even has its uses when you are not zoomed in. For instance if you were using the keystone tool, and wanted to position the guide more precisely, you could hold down the spacebar to temporarily get the hand tool, double click to zoom in, then when you release the space bar you are back with the keystone tool.

That's great, it works on PC as well :-). Thanks a lot. Should I remove this thread?

No, don't remove it, as it may help others who come to the forum and search for answers to this.
