Old (1 month) user collection

How do you locate a user collection in which you have already processed multiple images?
I'm using Capture One 21 - 14.3. If I click on Library Catolog nothing is there !! Go to File ...Open.... Pictures click it's all grey . What is happening ?? Why the heck don't they have a search ?
If I click on user collections ALL OF MY USER COLLECTIONS should appear BUT NO not in Capture One that would be to simple !! You shouldn't have to search all over your computer looking for it what a waste of time !! I searched one Capture One help ..nothing even closely related to my question ....has any of you noticed when you ask a question and C1's feeble attempt to answer at the bottom of the page they ask "Was this helpful ?" over 75% of the responses are NO !! That should clue them in at least you would think!!
Son my laptop I need more external storage and C1 DOESN'T like external storage as I found out the hard way so I'm completely deleting C1 21 when I find my collections I'll move everything to Lightroom/Photoshop.
C1 may be a great photo program but that's it!!

So another question how many of you find C1 a great photography program BUT tech support STINKS !! logical basic computer 101 doesn't exist.
