Film Simulation Fuji
Hi, please explain to me the special film simulation "lineare Wiedergabe/ playback" which is not a Fuji one. Is it nearer to the sensor values? I only can see it is a little darker, but my eyes are not so good in differentate colors. In a special case of colors it is the only one to make a good light brown. What is the special difference? Thx. lars

Hi Lars,
When opening RAW files, Capture One (and other softwares) apply systematically a tone curve, which has usually a more or less "S" shape. The linear curve doesn't apply (at least, less) this "S" shape curve, in such a way that your images will appear flat and under-exposed. BUT what you can benefit from this tone curve is a far larger amplitude in the adjustments, as you start from a neutral opening. It needs a little more work, but you'll obtain a better result, more specifically in highlights and shadows. Once you'll be used to, of course !
