    Hi Lars,

    When opening RAW files, Capture One (and other softwares) apply systematically a tone curve, which has usually a more or less "S" shape. The linear curve doesn't apply (at least, less) this "S" shape curve, in such a way that your images will appear flat and under-exposed. BUT what you can benefit from this tone curve is a far larger amplitude in the adjustments, as you start from a neutral opening. It needs a little more work, but you'll obtain a better result, more specifically in highlights and shadows. Once you'll be used to, of course !
