Photos in catalog not loading. Multi-Computer editing

Quick run down. Apple user.

My laptop (main editing computer) when in for service. My catalog and photos are on an external HD. Moved it over to an iMac while we laptop was getting serviced. All images work great on iMac. Seamless transitions getting to edit there.

Once I got my laptop back, any images I loaded to my catalog on the iMac don't fully load (render?) on my laptop. The images from before getting serviced work fine. But the ones I added to my catalog from the iMac while my laptop was getting serviced don't fully load (they're there just not loading fully).

Only thing I can think of is the iMac is running on Monterey and my laptop is Catalina.

Help?
