Hello Laurence and Maryna... indeed the RAW images (.orf) of the OM-1 works on Capture One 22... however the images taken in monochrome (black and white) on the OM-1 are not respected by Capture One and they appear in color... i don't know why... René

    Hi René,

I do not work for Capture One and am also a customer / user of their software but, as you have also addressed your comment to me as well, I'll attempt to answer.....

My question to you is "Have you tried this on any other camera?"  If you have and it has worked, then what I have to say next is irrelevant.  If it has worked, then that would indicate that Capture One is reading the "Black & White" setting (if any) contained in the raw file and enabled "Black & White". If this is indeed the case, then this is an oversight which should be corrected.

    If not.......

Whether you are taking a photo in colour or monochrome, the information contained in the raw file contains all the information received from the camera's sensor.  Even if you have set the camera to take monochrome photographs, the colour information is still included in the raw file.

The conversion from colour to monochrome takes place as part of the raw to JPEG conversion inside the camera.  If you set the camera to record "LSF+RAW", you'll end up with a monochrome JPEG file and a colour raw file.

How to convert from a colour raw file to monochrome in Capture One? - While editing the photo in Capture One, go to "Color" -> "Black & White" and check the box next to "Enable Black & White".  Your image will immediately change to monochrome.

    Hi Rafael,

With reference to Maryna's post above, "Olympus OM-1 is supported starting from Capture One 22 (15.1.2)".  If your version of Capture One is earlier than this, which it appears to be, you will need to upgrade.

    Regards
