[BUG] Offline images on latest update (14.4)
Hello,
I have upgraded to the latest version (14.4 - Fujifilm) and most of my images in the catalog are offline. I tried to repair the catalog, but didn't fixed the offline images. I checked for the raw images, which are inside the catalog, not just linked to an external source and everything is there. If I link the image manualy, the issue is fixed, but there are hundreds of images offline.
I switched to my other macbook which had still the 14.3 version and the issue is gone. Also, it was trying to regenerate previews for the offline images and then I switched to my first mac with the 14.4 version, and those images that has regenerated preview the issue was gone.
I now switched back to 14.3 version and everything is working.
I'm looking forward for a fix.
Thanks,
Sebastian

I think I have a similar problem - though it's hard to tell because C1 has a loose relationship with "offline" and "locate" at the best of times and I have had 50:50 luck with offline files which I put down to my lack of understanding and C1's limited abilities in that area.
I can locate a single image from the browser but then many of the other images go offline. Using the Library tab, there's no option in the images section to locate images. Odd. However below that, the "folders" section has a green label showing that it thinks it's looking at the right folder and using the locate command does nothing. There's a menu item called Locate except I have never seen it anything other than greyed out.
What's odd and inconsistent is that the menu item Show in Finder is active on offline images when it should not be.
It might be useful for the C1 people to look at the excellent way Aperture does things. When you locate an offline image (as in identify it in the finder as opposed to place it somewhere both of which confusingly mean locate) Aperture will show you a preview of both the image you are looking for and the found version so you can check… C1 doesn't even show you the file name. And then Aperture offers to find all missing files if the directory structure is similar. Aperture's version is simple and reliable. C1s version looks like a bug most of the time.
And so far as submitting a request to tech support goes, it might take 2 weeks to get a reply and then that reply tells you only that someone might look into it if there's time later on. Meanwhile, others with similar problems grope in the dark.
