Backslash bug. Session created on Windows doesn't work on macOS. The selected image is either unavailable...

At first I created a Session in Windows OS. I didn't change any options thus I've got images folder named "Capture".

Then I put there some photos of an event specifying a subirectory (like "Event1"). Then I did the same for another bunch of photos with another subdirectory ("Event2").

Everything worked like a charm. Both subdirectories were shown in Favorites subsection.

Then I took my Session to a macOS machine where I faced a problem. None of images were shown, for every one of them "The selected image is either unavailable" was printed.

I noticed that my favorites were shown as "Capture\Event1" and "Capture\Event2" instead of just "Event1" and "Event2", respectively. And I think I understood what have happened.

The problem was obviously concerning the path separator ('\' in Windows, '/' in macOS).

My workaround: as soon as '.cosessiondb' is technically an SQLite Database file, I opened it in a DB editor and on the table called ZPATHLOCATION I replaced '\' path separators with '/'.

[ I set this issue report to Windows version of C1 cause '/' separator would be correct for both systems, while '\' works only on Windows. ]

    Blame it on Bill Gates and Microsoft :-) They actually knew better back in the pre DOS days when they pushed Xenix (a variant of Unix).

    Actually i has a bug for ages - with opening older sessions on (the same) PC gets lost all favourites paths. I think is gone in v.14 but 13 or 12 or 11 opens v8 or v9 sessions with favourites paths lost.

    Also, it appears that when i opened a session moved to another drive manually (i.e. from D:\ main drive to K:\ of the archive HDD and so on) C1 will create an empty folder structure on the old path (D:\).

    Are your Favourite Paths contained within the session folder structure as sub-folders or do they reference external folders and/or devices?

    How exactly did you move the session to another drive "manually" ?

    It's inside Session typically C:\Photo\Sesson Name\Capture\Folder name and Favourites and Albums is usually auto-created during import. 

    After i've copied it to K:\Photo\2019\ it somehow can lose a right path. In 14 is ok.

    OddS means: Did you copy with Windows Explorer or withCapture One Explorer?

    Wrong way. really.

    Very important: If you like to rename or move folders or images you have to move them from integrated Capture One Explorer. You will find it in the lower part of the left windows ("Folder" I think it will be named in you C1). There you can rename, move and so on.

    If you want to rename images do it in the browser section.
