Problem to reactivate C1-21 after preupgrade til ver. 222
I bought the preupgrade for C1 22,
I deactivated my ver. 21 to active wwith the new received License key.
Clicking on C1 and using the new code on the activation formula failed with the word:
"No more free upgrades available for this license code"
Did it several times. No mercy
Please help

On your C1 profile you can reset all activations, maybe it will help you.

Hi Thorkil,
Did you find a solution for this. I just ran into the same issue, after buying the pre-upgrade.
Can't activate, did a reset and based on my profile I have three activations left.
Thanks!
Marco

Capture One 22 pre-upgrade FAQ – Capture One
Note the information in the table at the top of the article.
The current pre-upgrade offer offers slightly different approaches to license-based access depending upon which version one previously upgraded to before the offer started.

They need to be aware that they are having an issue, so I suggest to submit requests

SFA,
Each user should be able to use her/his current C1 version, so if Thorkil deactivated v21 he should be able to reactivate v21 again.

Thanks for the fast response. Made the mistake to active C1 21, while I’m still on C1 20. The pre-upgrade key is valid for the current version and the new 22 release.
Thx, Marco

Glad it works.
SFA, you have been spot on with Marco.

BeO,
Marco has done what I had in mind to do at one point before the latest existing user offer appeared. In effect buy the V21 update and get the V22 update as a "recent" purchaser.
In effect that is exactly what is on offer for those who have never moved to V21 but with the ability to run V21 eliminated. That seems like a strange thing to do with only weeks to go but I suppose there is a reason for it.
My concern, based on some of the problem reports, would be that somehow the pre-order license change is adversely affecting genuine licensed V21 users when clearly it should not - which sounds like the situation Thorkil has based on his account of events. Might there be some hidden (and unintended?) trap into which people could tumble in specific cases? A rhetorical question. We can but guess how unpredicted actions could and might fall foul of "rules".

Hi everyone
Thanks for input!
In october 2020 I upgraded to the pro ver. 21, and had updated to the recent update.
By preupgrading to ver. 22 I recieved the mail with license key and the text:
"By pre-upgrading to Capture One Pro 22, your current license key is now expired. Open Capture One on your computer and enter the new license key provided here to continue having access to your current version of Capture One. When Capture One Pro 22 is released in December 2021, download the new version and enter the same license key to get the upgrade. Don’t worry – we’ll reach out with a reminder about this information in December."
But when openening my ver 21 there were no asking for a new license key, so I deactivated C1, and then the asking for a license key came up and I entered the new code, mail etc.
..and the answer came "No more free upgrades available for this license code"
Afterwards I did put in a request, and the auto-answer said... there will be a long waiting time while we are busy.
That I understand, while I guess everyone else in the same position have suffered from the same "breakdown" syndrom.
Just tried it again 5 minutes ago, same problem.
Still got the ver 21 on my 17" laptop, but its here on the stationary with a 32" screen things are getting best shown.
And in my Phase One account it just says, no active subscriptions...

Perhaps it just takes some time for the license key to get updated - mine took almost an hour.

Tried to deactivate my other C1 om my laptop. Entered the new license code when clicking the C1 icon, same thing happened "No more free upgrades available for this license code"

I have a sneaking suspicion that due to the changes in license polices everyone who had bought CaptureOne V20 and then upgraded to V21 later one and who now bought the pre-upgrade to V22 is somehow limited to V20 until V22 is released.
Could you try to install and load V20 and see whether that works with your new license key?

Hi C-M-B
Thanks for your remarks. You might be right.
But I deleted the V20 also, and that I cant download from C1. Sigh.

then scroll down.
But you cannot open a v21 catalog or session with v20.
