Capture One 21 won't show Nikon Z7 II in live view window
Good evening everyone,
I have Capture One 21 Pro (14.4.1.16) and a new Nikon Z7 II. As shown in the attached image the CO detects perfectly the Nikon, and the normal tethering works perfect, no problems at all. But when Im trying to open the live view window in Capture One, you only see this white canvas. Inside this window you can even do AF with the left panel tool, so the camera is connected but it seems is not streaming the video signal to be seen in real time on my laptop. Am I doing something wrong ? This never happened to me in the past using Nikon D800 & D850, and Canon 5D Mark IV, and of course with Phase One also perfect.
Thank you so much in advance,

Hi,
Did you ever solve this problem? I'm having very similar issues with my Z7ii... even though it's worked problem free in the past.

Hi Kyle, no, the problem is not solved, and literally no answer from the official capture one support. It's amazing because Im a professional working 24/7 with Capture One :-/ Very disappointed with that...
I know for example Z6 works perfect with live view. But Z7 II isn't working, with CO21 or CO22, doesn't matter.

That is disappointing.
I use C1 primarily for tethering... and now it's suddenly not working (not that it hasn't been temperamental in the past). I've tried connecting the Z7ii on multiple computers, using multiple cables. Same problem each time - camera connects but I get a black screen in Live View. My D850 still tethers and works in LV fine.
The Z7ii tethers and works as promised with live view when I try it with Nikon Camera Control Pro 2. Definitely a C1 bug.

Javier!
I solved my problem and hope that it may solve yours.
The Z7II has a button on the side of the viewfinder that switches its modes. Mine was set to "Viewfinder Only". As soon as I set it to "Automatic Display Switch" (which turns on the rear screen) the image popped right up in C1 Live View.
I'm irritated and embarrassed that I spent a couple of hours troubleshooting the software and connection for something that was, ultimately, a two second fix.
Best of luck to you!

Hi Kyle!! Oh my god, you are right, changing the viewfinder mode to "automatic" solves the problem in that situation. Haha so thanks a lot for your help and answer!
Greetings from Madrid, Spain!
