Performance des Katalogs - Capture One 21 und 22

Meine Hoffnung, dass das Einlesen des Katalogs mit «Capture One 22» flotter läuft als bei der Vorgängerversion hat sich nicht erfüllt.

Am besten starte man morgens gleich den Rechner und Capture One und stellt den Rechner nicht mehr ab.
Das Runterfahren ist ebenfalls sehr zeitaufwendig.

Schade, sehr schade!

  Shutting down is time consuming too? Do you possibly have XMP auto synchronisation set in preferences?

  What about the performance features actually released in v22:

   

  Catalog Performance Improvements (Windows)
  Loading collections in Catalogs have been improved on Windows. The improvement provides a completely new Catalog experience on Windows, where filtering, loading, and browsing Albums and Folders now feels significantly faster. 

    

  Browsing and caching performance improvements
  Capture One 22 will utilize more RAM to cache images when available. This results in a better experience when editing large files like Panorama stitches and when browsing between images.

  Maybe the bottleneck is your pc / hard disk. It helps to install software (and its catalogue/cache) on an SSD. 

  Starting capture one takes no more than 10 seconds here.

  Propheticus, you are right. C1 runs best with high-performance hardware.

  I think he means fully loading the catalog image,  which takes much longer if you have several thousand images even with a fast computer and even NVME disk.

  Metadata XMP full sync is known to be slow and is not recommended if startup and shutdown performance is poor.
