This is worse for workflow than the recent export window debacle.

    Not for me.

Please stop trying to slow down the user.

Is PM to C1 a documented and supported feature, and / or has it worsened in the new version?

And do you think your tone will help in prioritizing your feature request up the queue? After all we are all humans and want to be treated with politeness and have some kind of fun at work, right?

Not sure who appointed you as Capture One patrol but I am a paying customer and this is affecting my business.

As with the export window debacle when C1 changes workflow they should give the user to keep things the way they were.  Which is what they ended up doing to their credit.

If slowing down your workflow works for you then great.  I prefer to have imported images automatically show up on the thumbnail browser as that is faster.

Photomechanic like any program is just sending selects to Capture One.  Just like you can drag images from a folder to capture one and they will activate the import window.  Nothing special about this.  Tons of programs do this on Mac.

They broke functionality workflow that has been around since Capture 5 or so.

This is bad, I thought you'd requested something new, but if they broke functionality then I suggest to file a bug via the "submit a request" link, I assume this would have a higher priority.
