out of aligned areas in panorama
Firstly this isn't a complaint, I am loving the latest update as anytime I can work without round tripping to do HDR or panoramic work is a bonus in workflow, time, and simplicity, and am hoping this post will give information that can make COP even better, or point out an error in my own workflow :-)
The image I have submitted shows 4 areas of misalignment in the center of the panorama where the horizon is broken up by stepped areas, all other areas of the image appear to be correctly aligned.
The panorama itself is made up of 10 individual images spanning almost 180 degrees. No correction has been done to individual images and no corrections have been done to the resulting panorama, apart from compressing it to upload to this support page.
The images where shot using a D7100 (handheld), 18mm, ISO 400, F/8 Aperture Priority, and each image has at least 20% coverage between them.
Attempted to create panorama with each of the 4 projections ending with the same issues.

System:
macOS Big Sur 11.6.2
Retina 5K, 27-inch, Mid 2015 (cannot be upgraded to Monterey)
3.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
16 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M290 2 GB
Running from 2TB external SSD
Catalogue on the same 2TB external SSD as the OS
All raw images referenced into catalogue from an external Lacie 2BIg Thunderbolt 3 Raid running at Raid 0

Do you have the overlap to allow you to try to create the Pano with less than 10 images?
It seems that less is better in this sort of situation.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I can almost get what I want from less images in COP, almost, but the real issue is that I can create a seamless panorama from all 10 images in Photoshop, and I really want COP to improve to the point it will be able to do that as well. I have no doubt this new feature will continue to improve in COP with updates, very exciting, my hope is the info from this post will help Phase One with that process.

Understood but I would suggest that you report this as a Support Case if you have not already done so. Use the "Submit a request" facility at the top of this page.
Most of the sections of this forum are primarily User to User based and are not certain to attract attention from C1 staff. The Support Case route, in contrast, is a formally monitored facility with Case numbers issued, email communications and facilities for providing system and log files together with sample images where appropriate.
Based on comments offered as part of the V22 development and testing process, the team is keen to obtain samples of problem situations in order to further refine the product. Therefore I would imagine that the Support Case feedback will be if significant help to them.

Great suggestion, was looking for a way to contact support directly and submit a request sounded weird.
Have now submitted it :-)
