Ha ha ha...   Sorry, I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing that when I tried to log in to give you some info about the invalid json response I ran unto the related issue.

OK, first.  Whatever link you clicked on was "hijacked" by asurewebsites.net.  Clean your machine.  That site is rated as potentially unsafe with a very poor trustworthy report.  At a minimum they are collecting info about links that you click and then redirecting you to the actual site.

Second... it's probably capture one that caused the error message.   There is a workaround when this happens.  Open Safari preferences.  Click on the Privacy Tab.   Click on the Manage Website Data... button.  Search for "capture".   Select captureone.com and clock on the "Remove" button.   Do not click on the Remove All button.  That will get rid of the "stale" cookies and session data that caused the error.

Lastly, the address to submit a support request is https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/requests/new  The address you used does not seem to work any more.

It has nothing to do with a "machine". It has been happening for ages at any previous machine (and not only to me). Not speaking of the fact that remaining signed in at some site or forum (every time) is just most common and essential thing everywhere else. I tried to remove those data in preferences so let us see ...

I don't know what the exact support address is but I supposed that when there is menu Help - Support, it should be just correct? If not, what to say ?

Importantly, which browser (and version) are you using? I've been having lots of problems with Safari 13 and later on C1 and other sites, so I switched to Brave. That's eliminated almost all problems I had. With Safari, nothing I did mattered: disabling all extensions, relaunching Safari, clearing cache, etc. Far fewer problems with Brave (a Chromium derivative, btw).

However, sometimes I still see the error you mentioned. Since it invariably goes away when I check back later, I assume that either C1's help desk app or server are having problems. This is one of my less important "just live with it" issues.

I agree this forum is terrible, we would do better with our own one.
