I just went to check for updates and it want's me to spend £299 for an update???

as much I dislike it I've gotta switch back to adobe since they don't charge people a stupid amount of money for an unfinished product and then charge for updates

To be honest with you I have Luminar, Adobe, Capture One and a few others, none of them are perfect all rounders! I find and use specific ones for the type of work I'm doing.

understandable I'm not expecting an all rounder just one that doesn't charge so much then gives you the feeling of being pushed to the curb

The pricing model was heavily discounted in advance of the release, it was pretty clear that those that chose not to update early would have to pay a higher fee, or you can wait and see if the NY brings any offers.
To be fair to C1 they have been open and transparent about this

I was sure I had a free update to the new one when it came out? but I did not update prior as I was expecting that. I have 21pro perpetual and agree for something I bought earlier this year it is steep for an update cost!

I also have Capture One Pro 21 perpetual and am struggling to justify the price of the upgrade. It's over $200 and offers nothing I can use or want.
- Canon wireless tethering - I don't shoot Canon
- HDR - I have other stand-alone software that offers more/better options.
- Panorama Stitching - I have other stand-alone software that offers more/better options.
I'm still waiting for the ProStandard camera profile for Fujifilm that was released with Capture One Pro 21.
I understand there needs to be a cost to upgrade but don't offer discounts to those who buy blindly. I just want to be treated fairly as a longstanding customer.

Then what's the struggle? If there's nothing you want this go around wait until the next. Or maybe the one after that. What you have isn't going to stop working with your current cameras on your current machine.

I like to keep current and support the company, the struggle is the price. This is why I like the perpetual license. at least you have the option to choose.
