Speed Edit - make it responsive like the ordinary sliders
Speed Edit is laggy, unlike the traditional sliders used for controlling exposure etc. Speed Edit should work exactly the same as the sliders, which it currently doesn't do.
To reproduce what I mean:
on a modern fast machine with wacom tablet:
- Grab the exposure slider with a wacom pen, make fast adjustments to exposure, and observe how the image is updated practically in real time and how easy it is to make precise adjustments.
- Press down Q and grab the image with the pen. Observe how differently it works! It's laggy and unpredictable, as if every intermediate positions of the slider were calculated. Observe how it's impossible to make precise adjustments, how jumpy it is, and how overly sensitive it is, too.
I have set Sensitivity = 1 at the preferences.
Speed Edit has huge promise. It would be such a helpful feature if it worked the same as the sliders do.

Sliders used at high speed, or low speed for fine adjustment?
Also, at what Sensitivity setting in the preferences

I agree.
Also, on the same note, it should be possible to reset the value, e.g. by double clicking the Speed Edit slider or some other means. This is what personally frustrates me with Speed Edit, because I tend to do a lot of quick tweaks and resets, messing around and trying various edits. Using Undo is the only (inconvenient) wrokaround.

I think that this problem is somehow wacom related, not C1.
On my convertible laptop with touch screen the speed edit works totally fine (Win10). Very precise changes are possible!
If I connect my Wacom intous pro it creates havoc! But I observed several flaws using the wacom tablet, i.e. some kind of dead zone if moving the normal sliders for the first time, this behaviour is dependent of the Use Windows Ink setting in the wacom driver.
I have the browser window configured to be shown on the left side and if I try to scroll using my wacom pen by picking the scroll bar it isn't working properly.
Again, when I use my laptop's pen everything is working fine!
Did you notice some of this issues? At the end I gave up using my wacom tablet.

I tried to use changing the brush size etc. with my Wacom tablet/pen when v21 came out but if my memory serves me right it only worked with Windows Ink enabled.
But as Ink has some side effects which I didn't like I have disabled Ink again and work the old way (Pen with my main hand to move my cursor and for brush strokes, mouse with the other hand for clicking and scrolling only (scrolling the sliders included), and keyboard of course (I just can't remember the different keys for the healing and cloning brush, which used to be B in the past...)

@BeO: You are right, there are other quirks and flaws, which I didn't mention.
In my opinion these problems started with the introduction of Windows ink in Win10. In Win7 everything worked fine, but with windows ink the problems started. Back in that day I had the same problems in PS and LR: I had to move the pen a certain amount before the slider even moved and then it jumped to the new position, skipping some values. To deactivate Windows ink was a solution but with the drawback of loosing pressure sensitivity.
At the moment it is easier for me to use the stylus and touch functionality of my convertible. So I can see where I paint. :-)

That's nice indeed, I just can't get C1to recognize my pen button as a right-click. It works everywhere else though.

Fortunately my pen button was recognized out of the box. But unfortunately it works just after touching the screen and then pressing the button. For me it would be a much better user experience if the click would be recognized by just hovering with the pen over the screen pressing the button instead of touching/clicking.
Did you try this old tool?

Although it is several years old and no longer maintained, this enabled me to configure my second pen button to Undo in C1, i.e. a keystroke.
Ironically this one is a "hover click"... :-)0 -
I have a Dell convertible and a Dell pen, the app has a radial menu and also a "hover over "click setting. The right click when hovering over Windows Explorer and any other app works fine, just not in C1.
Anyway, eventually I will figure it out or it's just not possible, it is not my highest prio currently, but many thanks!
