HDR dng file not showing up in the album of the original pictures
When I create an HDR with C1 22 the generated HDR dng file does not show up in the album where the original source files are. I can find them in the folders tree, but not in the album tree of the library. Has anybody else experienced this issue?
By the way a hint to Capture One team: there is no topic/folder for C1 22 yet here in the forum as far as I can see. Would be great if you add that.

Yes this is the current behaviour and it has confused several people already.
Like you said, the file is visible in the Folders (file system) tree. They're also in the "all images" view and can be found/filtered by searching for "HDR".Mods don't seem to read topic boards other than the feature request one. To bring this unintuitive behaviour to their attention we might have to re-write this as a feature request. e.g. "Please add the resulting panorama / HDR image to the album of the source images."

You are right, it might be the best to write a feature request. I will do so. I just wanted to make sure that it is not only me experiencing this issue. Thanks for your feedback.

Using Sessions the DNG files produced always appear next to the last file (by name order) used in their creation.
Now whether this would still be true if the "Album" was, for example, a smart album based on some metadata selection criteria is a different matter.
If the new DNG did not have the requisite metadata then I would not expect it to appear since the Smart album could not work. If it did have the required metadata then it should appear.
If the album is a "manually selected" album then I think you are suggesting a feature request of some sort that would identify your preference by asking what you wish to do - possibly via a Preferences pre-set.
In terms of the workflow (and thinking with my preference for sessions) I suspect that the optimal workflow for Pano and HDR activity is still rather traditional - create a "folder" specifically for the images you may want to work with and manage the development there. Once a final DNG file has been produced and is to be kept the required associations, by manual connection or smart album metadata, can be applied to the new files and all should be good.
That is probably closer to the traditional "plug-in" based Pano/HDR processes that have been widely used for some years.

Thanks for your detailed reply. Maybe I have to specify my issue or request further. I am refering to catalogs, not sessions. As far as I understand albums in sessions work kind of different than albums in catalogs as in sessions the albums refer to physical folders on the drive. Maybe that is why it is working fine in sessions. Furthermore I do not refer to Smart Albums but "manually selected" albums. And I prefer to use albums to organize my work instead of folders. Preferences are different in that regard, of course.
There it seems to be a feature request for albums in catalogs. I also further clarified that in my feature request post now.
