Unless I misunderstand your question, this function is served by an icon directly alongside / to the right of the word "Metadata", the diagonal double-ended arrow.

How do you copy read-only metadata to the clipboard? Like a complex filename in the clipboard to search for the filename? I know it's the same with Lightroom and ExcirePhoto. And there's just a trend in that direction that doesn't take GUI standards seriously.

I realised what you meant after I replied. I think I can help you but I'll get back to you tomorrow

    Ok, back again now.
Click and hold and move the mouse cursor across the metadata value from left to right, then either right-click > copy  or  {Ctrl} + C.

Because C1 also allows you to edit the filename from the Browser there is another way to copy the filename which is a little bit more convenient:
Click on the filename shown with the image preview in the Browser or press [F2], then either right-click > copy  or  {Ctrl} + C, then make sure you press {Esc} to close the edit. However, it will not include the filename extension eg. .JPG

Ok - Thanks - but that doesn't work with Offline Files.
I can also take a screenshot and copy it via live text. But I would just like to be able to copy text anywhere with the interface.
