Toolbar Fault
Well done, lads!
Now v21 cannot open files because they have been opened by v22.
What are ye smoking at Capture One?

The first time you tried to open the "files", didn't you see a dialog box informing you that they needed to be updated to work in the new version? And if you saw it, you had to click a button to approve it.
v22.2 catalogs/sessions can't be opened in v21.1. I saw several notes to that effect yesterday and I'd bet that it's mentioned in the release notes.
If you need interoperability between v21 and 22, you need to not upgrade beyond 22.1.1. You should be able to recover the pre-upgrade catalog from the backup C1 automatically makes whenever it upgrades a catalog. That would be stored wherever you've told C1 to store backups. There are several posts on this and other places giving details on how to recover from a backup.
