Failed upgrade
Hello,
I recently "purchased" the free upgrade from Capture one for Sony to pro. I followed the download and install instructions, but when I open Capture one, it still says for sony. When I log in it tells me that my license isn't for this product. I uninstalled the software in the Windows control panel. And reinstalled. Same errors. I re-downloaded and tried the uninstall and reinstall again. same error message.
Please advise. How do I get the software to install properly.
Thank you
Chris

that is a link to this thread. It doesn't contain information on how to resolve the issue.

Haha, indeed it is. Just out of curiosty: What happened when you searched the net and the knowledgebase for a solution yourself?
Here is the first reseult when I search: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002412757-How-do-I-upgrade-Capture-One- (hopefully right this time)

You need to deactivate your copy of COP22 (for sony), before downloading and activating the newest version with your new COP22 KEY.

Thank you EIW, Based of your info I was able to work through the issue.
For anyone else having this issue. I was able to resolve by opening capture one, clicking help -> License. From there I deactivated (it prompts to confirm) close, and reopen capture one, At which point I was prompted to put in the new license code. Would highly suggest copying and pasting the code from the website.
Things are working now.

Exactly what Capture One tells you to do, in other words...
