Create and edit masks by drawing shapes

Capture One is exceptional software. In my work, I frequently uses masks. My number one feature request is the ability to create and edit masks by drawing shapes. For example, drawing a square on an image, followed by operations of either "add to mask" or "erase from mask." Ideally a variety of shapes and pen tools would be available for drawing, with the ability to feather the edge. Also, the ability to draw subsequent shapes to add to, or erase from, the existing mask.

The model for this would be the selection tools available in graphics-oriented programs such as Pixelmator and Affinity Designer.

Capture One's existing tools for work with masks are good. However, for me, also having the ability to manipulate masks via drawing shapes would be a very large boost to my productivity.
