Capture One 22, 15.2.0.59, can't select more than one file
Hi,
after the update to the newest Version Capture One 22, 15.2.0.59 (7ec72ea) I cant't select more than one file/picture in the picture Browser on the right side in the window.
Because of this, I can't export multiple images at the same time, nor can I assign keywords to multiple images at the same time.
If I also mark two images, for example, the keywords no longer show me which keyword is used in which image. Previously there was a plus sign if a keyword was not present in all selected images.
This is very annoying because it worked before updating from the last version.
Any idea?
Regards Guntram

Solved.
Sometimes the error sits in front of the computer!!

Do you mean that
- you can't click on an image, then hold Ctrl (or Cmd on a Mac) click on a second image to select both, or
- you can select them but what you do only applies to one at a time?
If you mean 2., then have you checked the Edit Selected button is toggled on?
If you mean 1., what cursor is active when you click the images to select them? It is possible to inadvertently change what, for instance, the arrow cursor does.
If the tick isn't against Select, try checking that.
Or if you are using the Hand tool, a similar situation could arise.

Go on, then. What was it?

I have the same issue but unfortunately have not resolved it. I use the select menu and use the criteria by rating. It selects 523 files but one of them, the one is highlighted by a thick line the other 522 have a thinner line.

If you have that, then all 523 are selected, and the one with the thick line is the primary selection. The result of that is that if for example, you tried to export
- if Edit Selected is on, then all 523 should be exported
- if Edit Selected is off then only the one with the thick line will be exported.

I've now selected Edit Selected and it works. Whilst this has solved my issue, my question is how can this change without me doing this consciously? Why is Edit Selected a switch? Surely selecting one or more files is something that's done deliberately?
I like C1 as an editor but it's clunky and awkward

Edit Selected can be useful. I generally always leave it on, to be honest. But there could be times when you might have done something with a section of several images, and then want to just export one, or assign a green tag to just one or something like that, without losing the selection, so turning off edit selected while you do that could help.

OK thanks for your help and response.
BTW is there anyway I can upload Sony's 20-70mm lens profile into 22?

It's a bit hard to work out in which version support for a particular lens was introduced. I'm on the latest release of Capture One 23, and I use Nikons, but I do see a Sony 20-70 listed. If it isn't listed for you, there is no way of loading a profile that was introduced in a version later than the one you are using.
What do you see listed as lens profile with that lens? In the corrections tool, does it just say Generic?

The 20-70 was released in Feb 2023, so didn't expect it on my version. By the Lens Correction Tab I see on the Profile "Manufacturer Profile. No worries, I'll need to do it manually. Thanks for your help

If you see Manufacturer Profile, you are fine. That means that instead of having to use a profile that Capture One has developed, it is working with lens correction data embedded with the image file. It would only be if it said Generic that you would have to do the corrections manually.
