Back to the dark age
We are, apparently, in for a period of a dark theme. Other changes would be more appropriate as far as I'm concerned. Forum issues pointed out back in the day when the "new forum" was forced upon us, are largely still not addressed. The "new" in this forum's name/topic is becoming more and more of a misnomer, "Issues with the forum" would do.

This is very uncomfortable for many people lilke me who have astigmatism. White text on black is *much* harder to read than black on white, and it slows down my reading. I can handle dark mode for Capture One itself because I use the program with a photography profile for my monitor and appropriate room lighting. This is not the case when doing general computing, which is why I have dark mode off on my Mac and a light desktop,
In case your web designers don't know: it is possible to write CSS such that web pages follow the user's dark mode setting on Mac and iPad. That would be the correct solution. Second best would be a toggle.
This is *not* just an aesthetic preference, but will be an accessibility issue for some people.
(I logged on here specifically to look for a per-user setting after getting a nasty surprise trying to read this forum in a sunny room.)

I agree with the comments above.
Also, would it be possible to change the way the forum works so that, having viewed a thread and exited it, the system returns to the last screen one had accessed rather than the top of the forum once again?

Yes, please change the colour scheme back to black text on white background!

> SFA: ...change the way the forum works...
I would not hold my breath on that one. Functionality-wise the user end of the zen-forum is a disaster. For all I know, it may serve the other end (Capture One), but then they should operate it as a Capture One support forum, not as a user to user forum.

What is wrong with the Capture One team?
We've been through this crap again and again and again. Yet they insist on making the user forum dark und hard to read.Seriously, most often the user forum is the only place where people can get help when something's wrong with C1, with the support team being overwhelmed or unable to answer questions. Instead of being grateful and trying to make it easy on the eyes, fast to browse etc they want to give us all eye-cancer.
Thanks, C1-team. Well done.

Judging by their track record they'd still find a way to mess it up.
