Why? A lot of older people have more disposable income than young in-work (and especially out of work) folks.
I'm (comfortably) retired myself, but if I couldn't afford to pay full price for Capture One - or have the patience to wait for an offer - I wouldn't expect Capture One to make an exception for me. They aren't responsible for my circumstances.

Indeed.
I've got unemployed and low-income working friends who would be just as (arguably more) justified in asking for a price break - where does it end?
Also - Capture One 20 isn't available to buy anyway, so it seems like a moot point to ask for a discount on software you can't buy.
(I really don't think it's as hard as some people seem to find it, to post in a forum that actually relates to the point they're making...)
