Windows version 15.3.0 does not run now
After installing originally it would not read the database or create a new one. "Unknown Error"
Reinstalled 15.2.0 and it would not run at all!! Next tried 15.1.2 and that didn't run either. Reinstalled 15.3.0 and that now doesn't run at all. I have managed to open Capture One 20 but had to create a new database. Are the support people actually working on this??
Windows 10 Home
Windows 21H2 (OS build 19-44.1706)

Same here, cannot open any old session or create a new one, getting unknown errors reading the database in any case. How can an issue of this magnitude slip through QA?! Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

I can not start 15.3 with error "
Error message: “The application failed to initialize properly"
on 2 different PCs running Win 10 64.

I can't see anywhere that they are working on this. I have always liked the software but this is ridiculous. Come on Capture One release a statement on what your plan of action is!

I have the same problem as well. Capture one > Please provide a solution as it is affecting my deliverables to my clients. I am able to reactivate my old version of Capture One 20, but cant open my recent sessions in it because it does not support 22 sessions.

I was lucky enough to store previous build 15.2.1 in my downloads so I've reinstalled it and it works fine.
I am probably not allowed to upload it here, but you can google for "download Capture One 15.2.1" and use it while C1 team is hopefully fixing this bug.
C1 team if you are reading this - please allow to download previous builds from Account page!

I have fixed this now by following the suggestion in this post - https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/5530204873373/comments/5546985585949

Thanks Simon.
I got it working by downgrading to 15.2.1,
then deleting both the C:\Users\owner\AppData\Local\CaptureOne\Presets60
Crop Ratios and CropRatios folders
then installing 15.3.0 over 15.2.1.
C1 now starts every time as it should.
Maybe just deleting the custom crop folder (CropRatios)
before or after installing 15.3.0 might of worked as well in my case.0 -
Solution in Michaels comment worked!
