HOWTO maximize performance?
I am using the latest CaptureOne version on a 16~ macbook pro. I switched from LR when I had a Fuji XT2, due to the better results.
One thing I never liked, is the performance when importing or opening etc pictures. It's slow. I've created single catalogs best on subject. For example, for all my travelling, I have a "Holidays" catalogs. So or for family pictures etc. The catalogs are on the internal SSD disk of my macbook but the pictures are physically located on a Synology 918 NAS which is connected by a wired UTP network.
What would be the best workflow for gaining the maximum performance? I have approx 3T of pictures on my NAS.

I'd like to know this too. I came from Lightroom (classic) and the performance while importing is horrible. Either it's incredibly slow or crashes the application.
Tried this on my PC (12th gen Intel) and my Mac (M1 Pro). Both have internal SSDs but I'd like to be able to work from both machines individually.

Thanks for the advice. Why a 2nd phot managment application?
Perhaps that's the one thing I miss but using Lightroom meant I only had to use one single application for my catalogue (all my pictures), special selections and editing.
Even the (creepy) Luminar has a much better working catalogue right now, at least on my setups.
