Focus Stacking

That would indeed be a cool feature to have. It is a rather specialist one for a RAW development application though.

I'd welcome it, but to be honest only if the implementation is better than the mediocre panorama stitching and HDR merge features they added in v22. Those kind of work, but for the more difficult cases (anything not shot on a tripod) you still need to resort to external tools. Several free panorama tools do a better job than C1.
With unreliable results, you might as well immediately fire up the external tool that you know does the job to save yourself the time and frustration of taking a gamble in C1.

I'd prefer them spending effort in improving their current features and ridding the program of the several small quirks and bugs before they start adding new features.

I would also like to vote for focus stacking of raw images.

Focus stacking is extremely niche functionality already well catered for elsewhere; so it needs to take a very low priority in Capture One's plans - as alluded to by Propheticus and EtMRS.

Was a little surprised to discover that there is no embedded focus stacking in the platform

I really struggle to understand why that should be a surprise...

Focus stacking can help with macro, nature/landscape, and architecture ... (certainly less desirable for sports or portraits)

Would love to seeing focus stacking added.
