Camera Error message

I'm getting Camera Error ever since I updated to Capture One 22. I am not even tethering and I get the message every time I open Capture One. I recently switched from Nikon to Canon and still get the error message window.

    Hey John, I am experiencing a similar issue. Although I have not switched camera models and am trying to tether. My Canon EOS 5D mark IV connects instantly to an older macbook pro C1 V 12 without issue. The exact same camera will not connect to my M1 macpro C1 V 22. Have you had any success? This is frustrating.

    Hey John, 

    I figured it out for myself. Not sure if it will apply to your situation. 

    I knew this but forgot to remember it, such a simple fix. 

    I had to update my cameras firmware version. Once I did that the connection was immediate. I viewed a youtube tutorial to remind me how for my camera model and followed the instructions and solved my connection error in about 15 min.
