Capture One 21 Pro slowing entire Mac down
About a week ago, everything was humming along smoothly. Now, everything lags SO BAD. It goes back to normal after throwing away cap one preference folders/restart, but then happens again. I’m on an old iMac running Mojave. I know it’s time to upgrade everything, but seriously, it has been super fast, working hard every single day until about a week ago. I didn’t purposefully change anything.

One more thing to add- sometimes, it will work great for about 25 seconds. Then it’s beach ball city. After about 5-10 seconds of beachball, it works great for another 25 or so seconds. Like clockwork. It’s not just within capture one, either. System wide. Even just in the finder

Also- even after I restart Cap One, the system-wide slow down continues every 25 seconds or so. Must be a preference setting I need to throw away?

*Update* I updated my OS and everything’s fine now. I knew I needed to, but was worried about irreversible issues mid-job. Then, the issues were bad enough that I had to take the chance. All is good now
