C1 22 15.4.1.7 crashes on macOS Ventura using SMB-Share
Hi guys!
I have the problem that C1 22 in the latest version (15.4.1.7) keeps crashing on MacOS Ventura when working on a catalogue placed on a SMB share. Sometime, not always, C1 crashes also, when working in a local catalogue with images located on the network share.
Besides this problems with C1, I don't have any other problems with my network share within Ventura.
Has anyone a similar problem?

Well....
Capture One does not yet support Ventura.

I installed Ventura yesterday. Haven't been able to open Capture One since then. Apple tech person said to reinstall Capture One. I think I'll wait on that advice. So, what do we do next ... wait for C1?

You could try reinstalling Capture One. It might work, and if it doesn't you are no worse off. You could roll back to Monterey, perhaps? Or yes, you could wait until Capture One supports Ventura.
It's never a good idea to rush into a new version of the OS without checking whether all the software you rely on supports it.

Of course, it's never a good idea to update to a new OS version without checking whether the software you use is supported. But as a paying user, you could also think, that the software in its latest version will support a new OS version on its release. We don't talk about a Beta version of Ventura.
I will try to reinstall C1, if this doesn't help, I will wait for a supported C1 Version, because my main catalogue is working. It's "only" a catalogue with images I use infrequent.

My understanding is that Capture One only releases a version that supports a new MacOS after it has been released. Otherwise, they are aiming at a moving target, because Apple might, and sometimes does, make changes to the beta at the last moment before release.

... and is the problem Ventura, or the SMB share?

The problem seems to be Ventura.. I re-downloaded Capture One and installed it over the top of the original and it appears to have fixed the problem..

Sounds logical with the release of compatible versions.
The problem must be within Ventura, I didn't change anything on my server.

Chris Sargent: A re-install of C1 could not fix my problem.

Ventura has problems with smb shares. When you're connecting network drive change path from smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to cifs://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
This should helpKassur

I know, there are problems on Ventura with SMB-Shares. But outside of C1, I don't have any problems with my Share.
But: I'm not able to mount the share with cifs://
I don't know if this is an incorrect configuration of my Ubuntu server or s.th. else.
