23 is soooo slooowwwww
When clicking on a thumbnail in the filmstrip after importing is complete, it takes forever for the large image to become clear/not pixelated. And not just the most recently imported images. Trying to go back to an image I imported hours ago takes forever to display clearly even though i was working on it just fine earlier.
Also, what happened to the "pick all" check box when importing?

The Pick All checkbox is still there, the same as before.
If it is acting very slow, there must be some reason to do with your setup, I think. I am finding it pretty much the same speed as version 22.
What version of MacOS are you on? Do you have hardware acceleration turned on or off?

Nothing different on my end than before the upgrade.
macbook pro M1x running Monterey 12.6
Hardware acceleration set to Auto.
Here is a screen shot. Where is the pick all button? I'm not seeing it.

Ah - you've got enable groups turned on. When that's turned off, the dialog box looks like it did before.

A-ha! Thank you! Ya, i was playing around with that new feature. :)
Now if I could just get this weird speed issue taken care of. Editing is as quick as ever. I just seem to have this weird bug with the initial display of the full-size image.

I have M1 Max 10-core with 64gb ram. It takes forever to make previews at 2560 or 3840(recommended). I think about ten min for 600 images.

I am on the exact machine except I am running Ventura and I have no speed issues what so ever and I generate 5120px previews. I have both Hardware acceleration set to auto. I am also running 2 - Apple Studio Displays.Be sure to check that your system is not indexing a hard drive, do a spotlight search of anything and you see a progress bar if you are
Also, when moving to Capture One 23, depending on your settings, Capture One may be syncing meta data. This was the case for me and took a few days considering the size of my catalog.
Not a direct solution but maybe some bread crumbs to help you figure it out.

Dennis. I had no problems with Capture 22 as it was fast even on Ventura release day. My HDD is not indexing anything and runs wicked fast with any other apps. At this point I am ready to switch to Lightroom as their iPad app is incredible compared to C1 for iPad and I can sync edits to Macbook. I haven't used LR since 2012 but I shoot Sony A1 and offload images to LR for iPad there for editing and it is really good. I was really surpised at how good the LR app is on Ipad and using the apple pencil 2 makes images very easy to adjust.
I also have a new Catalog so indexing metadat should not be an issue. I have activities box open and syncing metadata on 300 images takes forever. 23 is bringing my laptop to a crawl.
Also, BRING BACK THE PICK ALL shortcut or give use option to default to pick all checked.

I have the Fuji Express 22 on a Mac Pro 2018 and just installed full version trail of 23.
Reworking on images that I know well from my GFX 100s I have been surprised that the screen refresh does not keep up with my cursor using several the Style brushes.
Installed the 23 Trial on the Mac Studio Ultra with 64GB and 1TB SSD, etc. Extremely fast with PS, etc and never had lagging issue.
Is this to be resolved in 23?0 -
Count me in as one that has terrible performance on an M1 Pro MacBook Pro connected to a Studio Display. Changes as a result of moving sliders render so slow that I can't process images effectively. Terribly frustrating.

Ian - I have PS 23, Affinity and DXO - much faster than on my Mac Pro 2013 Late with SSD 2TB internal drive.
Also Aurora HDR, PTGUI and all of these applications are really fast on my Studio Ultra with 1TB SSD and 64.
I'm thinking C1 has not yet optimized their code for the M1 chip. Hope there is a update before my 30 day trial ends orit's back to PS. etc for me
