Alt delete does not delete from disk

Permanently deleted user

Until around september 2022 alt + delete actually deleted my files from disk as it is supposed to. But since then it hasn't worked.  The files disappear form my catalog but remain on the disk. 

What to do?

  So the deleted files are not in the Trash collection?

  If you use catalogs, when you import files do you
  "Add to Catalog" or "Copy into Catalog"?
  If you "Copy into Catalog" the files that were copied to the catalog folder will be deleted from disk but the source files will remain where they were copied from.
