Not able to leave "Clone Mode" via "H" or "ESC"

Normally, every tool like crop, rotate or brushing could be ended by pressing "H" to switch to the basic pan&zoom mode. But this does not work when I am in the cloning mode AFTER starting the cloning. Here I have explicitly move the mouse to the toolbar to select another tool or the the folder icon to select another folder to end this mode. Also Esc does not work as a termination for this mode.

It works if I switch e.g. from pan mode to clone mode but not doing any cloning actions so far. Then I can switch as expected. But as soon as I start the cloning, no simple switch is any longer possible.

Have I missed something?

  I get this too but it seems intermittet or maybe it’s because I use heal tool most of the time
