Import says "No images in folder"

I launch Capture One Pro (For Sony) 12.1.5. It opens.

I insert my memory card. Capture One automatically opens its Import Images dialog for the Removable Disk (G:) and displays the message "No images in folder".

I verified this is the correct drive letter. G:\DCIM\100MSDCF has 142 .AWR files. I can view them in the File Explorer preview and they open in Windows' Photos app.

I can navigate to that folder in the Import Images dialog and it still says "No images in folder".

I also tried copying the files to another drive on the computer and importing from there. Import Images also says "No images in folder".

The camera is a Sony 7RM3. I've been using this model since 2018 with this software.

Except this weekend I used a rental because mine is in the shop.

What's going on? What should I try?
