Import User Preset location
Hi
I understand from previous discussion that Import presets are stored in the preferences file, not in the Presets folder. This in itself seems a little strange... but when updating major versions, this means at least for me that Import presets are not conserved. Is it just me, or is this general? It also means that it is not simple to share these presets across multiple computers. Before I raise a (I know, futile) feature request, can somebody confirm that they see the same behaviour?
Thanks!

Yeah, not happy about this. Just had to go back a Mac OS because of hardware problems and I can't find the import preset i created!

Styles and Presets are saved in the following path: /Users/YOUR_USER/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Presets60 OR Styles
It shouldn't matter where/when your presets and Styles are made. They'll be stored in here.
Could you link to the discussion about this so that I can fact check? :)0 -
Hi Jack,
The discussion is here (see part about File Name presets): https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360012106137-Location-of-User-Presets-for-Backup?input_string=import%20preset%20location
I'm afraid that on evidence, up to current version, File & Folder name presets used in Import are NOT stored in the locations you mention. And therefore are lost on major version upgrade.
Regards
David

Hi David Mantripp – sorry for the confusion here, I was referring to tool Presets and Styles.
Naming presets are saved as part of the Workspace file that is/was being used when creating the presets. The thing to do would be to try and locate and load the workspace you were using on a previous version, as they are compatible with newer versions.
It does seem like a bit of an odd place for them to be located.0
