Capture One 22 keeps crashing when importing catalog

Happy New Year to all of you!

Every year around this time i tend to import my last years catalog in my main big catalog.

i find it handy to have all available for comparing , selecting and all....

anyway- this year it doesn't work.

every time it crashes when reaching 950 pics already imported...

i tried everything i can think about like:

repairing, verifying, restored my last years catalog just in case its damaged under the hood, deleted tons of pics- same result.

after like 40 min. and 950 images imported C1 gives me the beachball.

i don't know if its a corrupt file ( i doubt).

can't figure out in which order C1 is importing. doesn't look like its starts with the oldest to the newest. the already imported file seems to me to be randomly picked- so its hard to get close to find a possibly corrupt file.

are there any library files i may kill? 

any ideas?
