iPad - Upload Photos directly to Cloud

Hi there,

as I understood the iPad is a portable device not to be meant as mass storage device. As such, the Cloud Transfer feature sounded very intriguing at first glance. However, it is not possible to import photos from an SD card (or other storage device) directly to the Cloud.

Not all iPad users have GBs and GBs of unused space available - so, would you please allow the direct upload of photos from storage devices to the Cloud?

Cloud Transfer is really the only feature that would convince me to subscribe to the app, since I do not use iCloud and use my own storage system (Mac Mini <-> NAS).

  Also, I found that after uploading photos to the Cloud and deleting them from the device also deletes them from the Cloud. Is that really how a cloud feature should work or am I doing something wrong?
