Unable to customize toolbar, crashing C1 when I attempt to
When trying to customize the toolbar View>Customize Toolbar, there is no pop-out menu with all the various tools that can be added to the toolbar, the items in the toolbar simple wobble, as when editing apps on an iPhone, then when I try to close out of the customize by clicking in the toolbar, C1 crashes. It's also giving me an event msg
NSinternalinconsistencyException
Description: Attempting to borrow an item which is already on loan
I've downloaded the software several times, deleting C1, reinstalling, restarting the computer etc, keeps doing this.
I don't particularly want to do a whole clean install as I had to do that back before the holidays and I'm not sure if doing that caused this secondary issue. FYI, this is the instructions I used to do the clean install:
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002402377-How-do-I-uninstall-Capture-One-
I sent a msg to Tech support Friday afternoon, haven't heard anything back, so hoping someone on the forum has some thoughts or insight.
Thanks

Did a clean install using the instructions linked above (which really do need to be written more clearly) and that seems to have fixed the above issue. I did not deactivate my account. There seems to be some disagreement as to whether you need to deactivate when doing a clean install, but I didn't.

Nick Burchell Looks like you're able to post! But I can't see that you submitted a request with us on Friday. I'll try and expedite your case if possible, so let me know if you're still having trouble, or if you have a case number ID.
What did you find unclear in the article? I'm entirely open to making it easier to understand!

Hey Jack,
I had to write the post all over again on another day and then it did post. As I said, to resolve the Toolbar customization and crashing issue I had to do an entirely new clean install. It would be great if those instructions were written a little clearer and specifically for doing a clean install rather than a full removal of C1. For clean installs we want to keep settings, presets and styles, which the instructions have you trash.
I've still not had a proper response to the initial issue I've had with a particular session where a "select all" adjustment caused an entire session's worth of images to be changed from the individual adjustments I had made. This was back in December. It even affected the backups and, quite honestly, I feel like tech support can't figure out where the issue is and is hoping I'll forget about it. I'm not saying there wasn't a modicum of user error, but tech support said they weren't even sure what caused it, so not quite sure how I'm supposed to figure it out. I'd love to have a proper conversation with someone about this as its been, as I say, almost a month now and not resolved.
Thanks

Nick Burchell Thanks for the feedback. A "clean install" means removing anything Capture One related from your machine and then reinstalling – you can just keep a backup of the specific folders (Styles, Workspaces, Presets etc.) and paste them back in once Capture One has installed again.
However, I will review the instructions and ensure that this is clearer.
I've asked the support agent handling your request to follow up with you again. Apologies for the delay – I hope we can get you back up and running soon.
